What is Rooisbos Tea?

Rooibos Tea (pronounced royboss) is a herbal tea.  It is a distinctive red plant and is a member of the legume family of plants, it originates in the mountains and valleys of the Cederberg region near Cape Town, South Africa.

Rooibos Health Benefits

Like green and black tea, Rooibos has been found to be rich in anti-oxidants and flavnoids.  It also contains a lot more anti-oxidants which is not found in other teas.  So these days when I fancy a cuppa, Rooibos is what I drink.

Rooibos Tea is completely pure and natural and is good for a calorie restricted diet as it contains no additives or preservatives.

One of the benefits of Rooibos is that is contains no caffeine so is suitable for babies and children making it a refreshing drink for all.  One of things I like about the no caffeine is that I can drink it before I go to bed and it will not keep me awake having the opposite effect it helps me sleep.  Due to the no caffeine Rooibos Tea is strongly recommended for people who suffer from insomnia as it has a soothing effect on the central nervous system.
